Love Notes

Once you get a certain distance into a project it begins to take on a life of its own, talking on momentum you

have to go with it. By challenging the singularity of art making at the same time enriching my own practice

growth takes place. “Love Notes” is more than a memory it’s imminent.

I feel happy to be invited into the Epiphany Gallery Wakefield for the May 27th Artwalk. From Cole Porter to Canned Heat blame it on the boogaloo beat, musical notes can stir the soul love notes can melt the heart

A walk in art is a new walk daily

Opportunities abound

If you wait to blog your mind does fog

Writing is sunshine do it in your time

It’s been awhile

Proposed art

Looking back to Hollywoods golden age.

She left a Hedy parfum

Strongly believed in cultivating inner strength

The essence of a creative spirited woman

By doing the work on an invention she was ahead of her time

Inspiring others to find confidence to uncover potential.

I looked deeply to see and to feel

Process still in my head.

I find fun in being able to source my materials visiting Schofields reclamation yard. The beauty of reclaim is that you never know what you’ll come across what gems – that something special 18×24 piece of Slate .I found my self working against the grain unable to stop each stage at a time .Big thanks to David great tea maker in our house .

Love Notes

Emotional memories escape
Get them back
Value them
Showing people round
Digital
Roller coaster
Changing the way you think
Let’s talk of our life…Loves schemes .

(null)
To the studio I go
On a Wednesday just like before
Remember slow speed / higher power
400/15 setting for success
Power on, there’s no light its out
One sheet does plenty
Broken pieces still to cut.
“Jills got some perspex& she wants it painted black
No other shade will do she wants it painted black
It’s her last piece of perspex which she painted black”

Acrylic Laser Cut Process

Our challenges are digitally disguised
Go too it baby you can do it
Let digit Al be your pal
Rewriting real writing
It’s changing the way I think
Analytical
Digital does not have it
Emotion that is
It’s right in itself.
From the wheel to the web

Sash window pane a rattling

Yes we’ve “laser cut” in the workshop

Got cast acrylic pain

It don’t seem to be working

We know it’s not in vain.

Challenging Ourselves

Not as cold as Norway

But you could see your breath

“Rhubarb” she said were off to the pub

Pulling it out of yourself

Red acrylic spreads like butter

Yellow follows

Darkest of umber

Red purple blue

image

Vibrates with emotion I hear it said

Something new for the exhibition stimulates new ideas

The space itself the canvas

Like an unfinished memory

Collaboration

I did not need provocation

Nor pictures in a book

The white wall was before me

Shadow sketching look

Already there was something

My fear of doing nothing formed into shape

In an undertone I get the main

Then quiet

Suddenly like a bolt out of the blue

Music flooded in and ebbed away.image

A Space between Us

Love chemistry music and poem !

Funny maybe it was
negatives on the brain
with speed I got the main
I got you
mellow bass tones interpret moods,
4 strings resonate
a series of notes
chosen “spontaneity ”
trying to make things fit.
you loved me then
you love me
the viewer can see the objective
a means to an end
art evoke emotion
trying to make things fit
love in the spirt of fire.

Love
if we knew what it was
it wouldn’t be what it is
don’t change it
just know it works
when you get something special
it’s not just something that will do
it transcends the ordinary
Love
your hoping it is always going to get somewhere
trying to understand it
cos love is
the greatest
